Pledge your support and you could help Vale First and Middle School win sports equipment Dear Parent/Carer We’re delighted to be taking part in the UK’s biggest school sporting event – Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week, which runs from 28 June – 2 July 2010. This is a fun week of sport and celebration, which uses the inspiration of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games to help our young people take part in more sport. We will be taking part in an Opening and Closing Ceremony and a mini torch relay at The Worthing Area Athletics on Wednesday 30th June and inter and intra school competitions throughout the week. Please come in and support us in any events your child is participating in. Lloyds TSB are giving away £20,000 worth of sports equipment to schools across the UK. To give us the best chance of winning we need you to make a pledge for our school. It’s simple to do, just go to www.lloydstsb.com/london2012 We just need 25 pledges of support to be in with a chance of winning £1,000 of sports equipment vouchers, but if we double this we could be in with a chance of winning the top prize worth £5,000. New sports equipment would be of real value to us, so please ask your friends and family to make a pledge too! To begin the sports week Worthing Leisure Centre is launching their summer fun fitness challenge. Your child will have been told all about it during an assembly and have been encouraged to sign up for a diary. There are lots of opportunities to participate in a range of physical activities, many of which will be free. There are many prizes and rewards offered as part of this challenge. To register for the diary pupils need to attend the launch on Saturday 26th June between 12 and 3pm at Worthing Leisure Centre. If you are unable to attend and would like to sign your child up please contact me and I can register for you. Thank you for your support. Mrs Debbie Webb The Vale First and Middle School
