As you may be aware the Worthing Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) ran a Resident Involvement Zone (RIZ)in East Worthing last year, with many agencies contributing towards the project. The project implemented a "No cold calling zone", four new neighbourhood watch schemes, removed graffiti, encouraged RSL tenants to clear their gardens, arranged for the area to be cleansed, identified an area of land that could be used for sports facilities for local cyp etc. The project was well received by local residents and has improved their quality of life, through working in partnership with a range of partners.
The second RIZ has been planned for early June and will be held in Findon. It is vital for this project to have all agencies on board and taking on an active role, in order to make a real difference to the community in which the project operates. We will be holding a meeting to agree the RIZ area and to identify agency issues. I have provisionally booked the 11th May for this meeting and would like to invite you to attend. Please can you let me know if this is convenient and the times that you are free on this day.

FVS are organising late night shopping on Thursday 14th December for Kings Parade from 5.30 to 8.00. We are currently looking for two large decorated Christmas Trees to be donated and a Santa to be on the parade with a bell to interact with the children and receive donations for the Chestnut Tree Appeal.
