PLEASE NOTE THIS CAMPAIGN IS NOW FINISHED Despite the efforts of both Findon Fire Station and the FVRA to help with raising awareness of the planned closure, West Sussex County Council made the decision to close the station in late 2010. It was agreed that a page from the FVRA website can be linked to their campaign to maximize online publicity.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have proposed to close Findon Fire Station. The station has one fire engine that provides emergency cover to Findon and surrounding areas including local schools and road links. Over the past two years they have been mobilized to over 400 incidents in and around Findon, including many fires and road accidents, saving lives and property. With a proposed closure of January 2010, Findon Fire Station needs the support of communities in and around Findon Village, to lodge their complaints with West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
Please continue to send your objections to: Deborah Urquhart, West Sussex County Council, Trelawney, Clapham Common, Clapham BN13 3UR Email: deborah.urquhart@westsussex.gov.uk
