The FVRA Art Exhibition 2017
The FVRA Art Group held their second Art Exhibition in Findon Valley Free Church Hall on Saturday, 12 August 2017. Terry Beaumont, leader of the Art Group, with his colleagues helped in arranging the many framed picture around the hall on the day before. During Saturday there were over 70 visitors to view and appreciate the wide diversity of local talent.
The FVRA Art Gallery
The FVRA Art Group is proud to present their latest work to you! They are all very enthusiastic and keen to share their skills to each other as well as learn from each other. If you have an interest in art and want to start for the first time or return, forget the evening classes and come along to their friendly informal art group!
They get together every Monday afternoon, 2 - 4pm in Findon Valley Free Church Hall, bringing along their tools and equipment to do what they love: painting for pure pleasure! If you're unable to do Monday afternoons, there's the chance of coming on Saturday afternoons as well (when the Crafts Group tends to meet) from 2-4pm so two opportunities for you!!
They all bring so much talent in oil, water colour, acrylic, pastel and block paints. Some have painted for a long time and others only recent, coming each Monday to get away from their busy schedules and routines from home and unwind, putting their minds and hearts into their passion for painting in their own very special way. Refreshments are available and sometimes there are occasions when cake and scones are brought in.
So to any 'new budding artists' or to those who used to paint and want to return to their hobby, come along on Mondays and Saturdays, from 2 - 4pm at the church opposite the library!
Come and give it a go! It's a good way to meet new people while painting!"
"It's both friendly and fun here, with people I enjoy being with and able to get useful tips."
"Becoming part of this art group was great for me; I never did acrylic painting until here with nice people around to ask for feedback on my pictures!"
"I joined the group to get away from home and meet likeminded 'arty people' who love painting; also I get to see such beautiful and varied pictures in their own unique style. "
